Deputy Minister Chen Yi-hsin of the CIP was invited to participate in the “Wild Kids Dream Baseball Day” charity game organized by the program Ya Child Go Go Go. As a former professional pitcher known as the “Holiday Flycutter," he served as a mentor, inspiring young athletes to give their best, make friends through sports, and demonstrate the passion and determination of children from rural areas pursuing their dreams.

Ya Child Go Go Go is a program dedicated to fostering sports development in rural communities. It highlights the stories of youth sports teams in these areas, raising public awareness about the importance of rural education. The charity event featured four Little League teams previously showcased on the program—Tbulan Elementary School in Taichung, Wenshui Elementary in Miaoli, Sian Si Bilingual & Technical School in Changhua, and Cian Ciou Elementary in Nantou—who competed in friendly matches, providing rural teams with a larger stage to showcase their talents. Renowned baseball players, including Deputy Minister Chen, “Magician of Second Base” Huang Chung-yi, “Prince of the Jungle” Chang Tai-shan, “Amazing Lin” Lin Yi-chuan, and Wei Chuan Dragons catcher Liu Shih-hao, cheered on the young players as they displayed their skills.

Deputy Minister Chen emphasized that the CIP has long been committed to supporting sports development among Indigenous and rural communities. He highlighted efforts to help Indigenous children overcome environmental challenges and pursue their goals bravely. Through programs that promote physical activity and Indigenous participation in international competitions, the CIP aims to support Indigenous youth from preschool age through adulthood, encouraging lifelong exercise habits and overall well-being.

He also encouraged the young athletes to enjoy the game, work hard, and chase their dreams. Confident that these motivated and passionate young players will become future sports stars, he reaffirmed the CIP's ongoing support for Indigenous and rural children, advancing both rural education and local sports development.
