In order to encourage the entrepreneurship of the indigenous people, activate the traditional wisdom of Indigenous Peoples and facilitate industrial development, the Council of Indigenous Peoples advocated Counseling and Lean Startup Plan, which not only sponsored the initial venture capital, up to NT$ 1 million but also provided the entrepreneurs with the 6-month counseling mechanisms for innovative business models, improve operation and financial and management know-hows to equip them with industrial competitiveness, thereby achieving the goal of sustainable development. So far, 80 business entrepreneurs were successfully counseled.
The fourth Counseling and Lean Startup Team--REMIX Video Production Co., Ltd. held the opening ceremony reception in Sandimen, Pingtung County today. Ma, Yu-Ting, the founder of REMIX was the Paiwan People in Sandimen Village, Pingtung County who was responsible for overall cosmetic designs with the cooperation with China-minnan from Fengshan District, Kaohsiung City who was responsible for photography. They often said that their combination was as interesting as the great fusion of different ethnic groups. The difference of identity made them overlap many beautiful views and cognition in vision, thinking and culture, and brainstormed many new cooperative thoughts and images in the different working angles of modeling and photography. In order to practice the mind of returning home for service, Xiao Ma, the person in charge of REMIX, returned to the tribe to set up a studio. It was expected that REMIX would become the preferred brand of the image market of the Indigenous Peoples, inherit the culture and create the economic value of the tribe. In addition, REMIX also continued to serve the vast customer groups other than the Indigenous Peoples through technical cooperation and self-ordering, expanding and accumulating service energy. The Council stated that the Counseling and Lean Startup Plan started with 3 key points, i.e. economic basis, cultural inheritance and environmental sustainability to assist our people to take the traditional indigenous wisdom and indigenous culture as the starting point of entrepreneurship through knowledge and skills training, innovative thinking training, and value-added application of modern technology. By the end of 2018, the Council had tutored 80 new business teams. In the stories of every entrepreneur, they also cared about the tribe, worked together to promote the prosperity of the tribe, realized the sustainable development of the tribal environment and industry so as to achieve the idea of “entrepreneurship, employment and industry”.
